Outreach Services
Cathedral Health Services addresses the needs of those who do not have adequate access to health services, facilities and/or insruance due to geographic location or financial hardship. These programs integrate education, nutrition, exercise, mental health counseling and other support efforts with our preventive health screenings.
Clinics were initiated in South Central Phoenix, and at St. Michael's Mission in Naco, Arizona and Centro de Salud in Naco, Sonora, Mexico. Other Health care clinics, sponsored and/or funded by foundation grants and government funding, are conducted each time that host sites and funds are made available.
The CHS/ICM Well Life Center is a health and wellness clinic, a collaboration of Cathedral Health Services and ICM Food and Clothing Bank www.icmaz.org started in April of 2009. Where other local clinics are struggling to treat the critically ill, The Well Life Center is screening for and finding life-threatening conditions within our Valley's most vulnerable populations before they strike. Offering health screenings, education, and referrals to the working poor will create healthier families who have a greater opportunity to productively sustain their lives and contribute positively to our Valley area.
The CHS/ICM Well Life Center's most important role is connecting our families to the resources already available to them. Sadly, for those most disconnected from the mainstream of our communities, the issue is not only an inability to find answers, but a crushing inabilty to even ask the questions. This is where we've seen The CHS/ICM Well Life Center fill a gaping hole of need. We unite local healthcare resources to the people who need them most—saving lives and strengthening our community one connection at a time.
Clinic are held on a monthly basis from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the ICM Building at 501 South 9th Avenue, Phoenix on the 2nd floor.
